Holly Gaglio is an award-winning author living in Surf City, USA who grew up on the South Shore of Long Island, which is easily discovered by asking her to pronounce “orange.” She studied literature at Columbia University and received her MFA from the University of California, Riverside. She teaches creative writing because she believes there is no better preparation for being a writer – a profession that demands the courage to share oneself – than teaching.
